Athalye performed the inspection of ten bridge structures which encompassed three bridges (two PC/PS concrete cored slab and one PC/PS concrete T-girder) and 7 single span and multi span reinforced concrete culverts for the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division of the City of La Habra, California. The objective of this project was to assist the city in routine biennial bridge inspection program. All the reinforced concrete box (RCB) culverts have earth fill ranging from 1 foot to 10 feet on the top and cross Coyote Creek.

The main focus of the inspection was to determine the physical and functional condition of the bridges, identify the existing problems and recommend repair strategy to fix the issues. With exception of a few hairline/minor cracks and minor concrete spalls, all the structures were found to be in overall good condition.
