The on-call contract for Caltrans District 8 includes construction inspection, office engineering and CPM scheduling support. Athalye provided field personnel to augment Caltrans staff for the Big Bear Dam Bridge Replacement project, the I-15 Pavement Rehabilitation and Widening project, which passes through the cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana and Rialto, and I-15 Freeway work from Seventh Street UC to Sierra Avenue UC in San Bernardino County.

The projects consist of new concrete spandrel arch bridge, bridge demolition and removal, pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, retaining walls with aesthetics and architectural treatment, roadside scenic viewing area with hardscape features, concrete barriers, pavement markers and striping, pavement delineation, signage and drainage systems.
